We left Chub Cay this morning, heading to Nassau for fuel, and then on to Allens Cay across the Exuma Bank. This was the worst ride ever. We took contant spray over the bow that crashed on our front windows. We were getting beat up pretty good. I finally ended up downstairs in the cabin sick as a dog. My spot for over an hour was propped up in the galley with my head resting on the kitchen faucet, face in the sink! UGH!!
Was happy to pull into the Nassau Harbor. I pulled myself back outside to help get to fuel dock. We fueled up (at $5.01 a gallon.... ouch). I got cooled off and other than having the shakes, was starting to feel better. The weather was only going to get worse each day and Tony nor I really wanted to be stuck in Nassau. So, we decided to keep going and get to Allens. I managed to stay upstairs with Tony for second half of trip:).
We got anchored in Allens with a few other boats around 2 or 3pm. Beautiful day, but guess what. Yep, swells are coming in and we're rolling a bit. We did spot our first sting ray. He hung around the boat a bit.
And we got to watch a boat bring some people up to "Iguana Island" just across from us. Wonder why they call it that??? LOL... I would have had a heart attack!
We put our "back porch" top on and of course had to get a fishing rod out! :)
We also enjoyed another beautiful sunset... I love these :)
